Hello. I am Yongsung Lee, 37 years old. After completing my basic education in Korea and graduating from a vocational college's culinary program, I came to Australia in September 2016. Following that, I worked as a chef in Sydney for 6 months before accumulating over 5 years of experience at OZ Strawberry Farm in Beerwah, QLD.
My decision to work extensively on a strawberry farm was driven by the joy and fulfillment I found in cultivating and harvesting crops. Although I encountered challenges, the rewarding moments far outweighed them. During this period, I gained experience in various aspects of strawberry farming, including supervising fields and packing sheds, crop spraying and fertilization, operating tractors and attaching agricultural equipment, farm cleanup after the season, and preparing for the following year. I even managed simultaneous responsibilities, performing spray operations and the role of a packing shed manager during busy periods. Later, I transitioned to a Korean organic vegetable farm, expanding my skill set further.
Since 2017, I have resided in Australia under a student visa while building my agricultural career. My growing interest in agriculture led me to pursue relevant courses, and I successfully obtained a degree. I have a strong desire to gain experience with different crops and, simultaneously, to work towards owning and operating my own farm. For these reasons, I am committed to staying in Australia and pursuing my goals. I approach work diligently, possess a quick learning curve, and anticipate a smooth adaptation to new environments, making me capable of rapid growth and adjustment.
Even though my English might not be fluent, I believe I can effectively communicate about work-related matters.
It is a farm that grows Korean vegetables, from planting crops to harvesting and managing them, and delivering crops to grocery marts or restaurants
