I have a one-year experience in teaching the following subject areas:

• Year 11 General English: I prioritise creating an inclusive, welcoming, and low-stress environment for my academically inclined students. In my Year 11 ATAR English class, I have seen all students show academic progress from their previous year.

• Year 11 Essential English: My focus is on building practical skills and engaging students with real-life scenarios, especially for those not pursuing tertiary education immediately after high school. I believe that establishing rapport and building connections are key to positively impacting these students.

• Year 8 English and Humanities: I maintain high expectations while providing a supportive learning environment. I believe that junior students thrive when they are given opportunities for autonomy within a structured setting.

Additionally, I have previous placement experience in teaching senior IB Language and Literature, senior Modern History and junior English and Humanities subjects in various year levels. Furthermore, I am also a native Mandarin speaker and would be able to teach Chinese language classes if there is a need.
