Yuan Xia

I graduated from Monash at the end of 2023 with Bachelor of Education (Honours) in Secondary Education and Bachelor of Arts (Major in Psychology). Since January 29, 2024, I have been working at Fairhills High School where I obtained my full teacher registration at the end of 2024. During my stay at Farihills High School , I have taught students from Year 7 to Year 12. Specifically, my responsibilities in 2024 included:

- Year 11 and Year 12 VCE Psychology Teacher (Students' Study Score for VCE Psychology improved by 1 ).

- Year 8 Math Teacher

- Year 7 Humanities Teacher

In addition, during 2024, I have built valuable and unforgettable relationships with my students.

In 2025 and the rest of my stay, my duty include:

- Year 11 and Year 12 VCE Psychology Teacher

- Year 9 and Year 10 Criminal Psychology Teacher

- Year 7 and Year 8 Math Teacher

Moreover, Fairhills High School is a low SES school and many of our students here face various challenges that require tailored teaching strategies. I have worked with students who have ADHD, ASD, Dyslexia, dyscalculia and mental health disorders. These experiences have provided me with valuable insights into how to effectively engage and support students with special needs, improving their learning and overall experience in the classroom.
