- Working with contractors, clients, local authorities and external agencies on various Capital works projects in line with council's Project management framework.

- Regularly checking progress of works according to the schedule with the team and ensuring completion of projects are on time and within the allocated budget.

- Investigate, analyse and prepare feasibility reports, Civil designs and drafting for streetscapes roads, drainage, footpaths, kerb and channel, bridges, signs, street lightings, boardwalk, aerodrome and assets maintained by Councils.
- Examine designs and specifications submitted by internal and external Contractors to improve public spaces.
- Undertake field surveying and leveling work utilizing total station and other equipment as appropriate.
- Attend directorate meetings, CAPEX and OPEX meeting and assist annual works programs.
- Conduct performance review with junior engineers and the road crew.
- Manage development and delivery of pre-construction activities for projects.
- Prepare strategic reports, specifications, tender documents and cost estimates as required and ensure contracts are procured as per council's procurement policy.
- Maintain proper storage, cataloging and indexing of plans and drawings and office records.
- Provide accurate and timely information to residents, community, ratepayers, developers on Council requirements with respect to road openings, road closures and issue of DRNE licenses on government roads. Ensuring the satisfaction of customers.
