Going out on my own has taught me a lot about myself and has evolved my management skills, communication between clients, estimation, problem solving and visioning the stages of work accordingly that needs to commence to get the best end results possible.

Steffo Quality Homes is a high end building company taking on new homes, renovation and commerical projects around the Sunshine Coast. I worked for a few months as a sub-contractor to finish off one of there big projects from cladding to fix out until turn over. My time here was enjoyable working one on one with the builder and gaining his knowledge.

Horo Constructions is a small business consisting of the builder and a apprentice working all aspects in carpentry. I have worked on and off for Horo Construction when ever they needed a extra push to finish a project. I was left onsite most times with the apprentice as leading hand keeping a tight relationship with the builder and the client. This helped me progress my leadership skills, communication and management skills to where I am today.

I worked for Bunya Building Services as one of their main contractors for 2 years. In that time I further developed my skills as a carpenter with older tradesman. I built good working relationships with my colleagues and worked efficiently as a team. We specialized in renovations, extensions and all odd jobs in between both commercial and residential. Learning other trades such as tiling and plastering along the way. My time here was a good steping stone to becoming more confident in my work to then pursuing to run my own business.

I Developed the required skills in all aspects of construction. Mostly specializing in renovations but also in other areas of the industry such as commerical subcontracting for Hutchinson Builders, framing new homes in many areas of Brisbane and real estate maintenance for Bryony Real Estate.
