In my spare time I like to go camping, fishing, wakeboarding and surfing with my family. My dad has marine tickets and I have spent a lot of time driving our 4.2m tiller steer Renegade and 6m centre console Polycraft with him on fishing trips, as well as taking the boats on and off the trailer. I prepare the boats for family outings including strapping the boat to the trailer, connecting the trailer to the car, packing required equipment and cleaning up upon return. I have also been involved in some minor vessel repair work including changing a transducer and assisting with wheel bearings. I learnt to sail a minnow by my self through sailing programs at the Darwin Sailing Club.

My interest in being considered for the CERTIFICATE II in Maritime Operations is to pursue my interest in the Marine Industry. I am thinking of continuing with further studies after I finish school at The Australian Maritime College in Tasmania and this would be a great opportunity to kick start my learning.
