DJ BIG ZEE DOGG!
Amateur DJ searching for gigs in Brisbane. My main styles to play are Pop, House, RnB and EDM. I am eager to hopefully get something regular or semi-regular to top up my income and pursue my passion of doing this. As a DJ I am not show-offy like some are, I think my number 1 asset should always be track selection as opposed to showing what I can do to make it all about me, but I am approachable to guest and will generally do requests where its possible to keep the punters happy. I have my own equipment and I am fully available any evenings to work.
As a person I am friendly, hardworking and approachable, I understand this job is collaboration between myself and the venue, and keeping both happy would be the ideal. I enjoy chatting with the punters as part of the experience.
Try me out! what have you got to lose? ;)
- Had a gig for a LGBT themed pool party at YHA hostel. Just a couple hours but gave me a good idea what to do there in future with regards to choice and style of music, I will be doing a couple of gigs there here and then going forward.
- Compiled playlists, managed equipment, and ensured music was suitable for the audience.
- Played a 6-hour set from 6 to 12; I would usually start with. RnB, then go on to pop; the last two hours were completely up to me, so I would have some fun with house music or EDM.
- I was often praised for promoting a good atmosphere with my track selection and basic mixes which were not designed to show off but just play good music that people can fully enjoy
I did one gig per week for a few months at a cocktail bar and eatery in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City. I performed for three hours, mainly house music, but also assorted pop and RnB.
This was my first consistent gig; I had a great time helping to create the best environment for people to dance and party. I made it my job to hunt down the best house remixes for people to enjoy.
