As a young fella all I cared about was being apart of the Australian Defence Force. After going through school and my apprenticeship then going on the try multiple different things has only confirmed that my path will lead with Defence and the country.
I believe that with a robust background at Secure Mine Solutions and the Australian Defence Force, I can maintain and exceed in project scheduling, team building and maintain a high work standard. My expertise in initiating and leading high-stakes projects, coupled with a bit of a knack for risk management, has significantly enhanced operational efficiency. My leadership is marked by commitment to professionalism and mentoring, driving teams toward completing goals and succeeding in our role. i believe my committed mindset to the task and passion for Defence is an asset to those who need it.
As an underground projects supervisor the role is too run, organise and maintain progression, standards, safety and stability of the crew throughout the period in which each task is presented.
As a projects team its our job to complete everything given too us via Engineers, Construction officers, Managers and other contract Engineers and Architects. Project works being Re-habilitation to existing mine locations, structural and mining asset improvements, mining development, De-watering of flooded locations throughout the mine, and to meet various time based contracts in order to complete the tasks given.
Prior to being the supervisor I was a 2IC for the Mining and Share holder company Glencore. My job consisted of project work also only throughout a different mine. The position entailed running my small crew throughout the task at hand.
I am also currently serving as a Reserve Australian Defence Force member in North West Queensland as a rifleman / Patrolman within the reconnaissance unit.
During my carpentry apprenticeship i decided to join the reserve ADF unit to become a rifleman. I competed this role very well throughout my time in Sydney. Once moving to QLD I i put a hold on my Readiness level in order to complete another line of work, That being Cattle-work. Once moving to Mount Isa to being my work with the Underground i have slowly been entering back into the Defence work, and im now currently back to my Readiness level to being regularly activity and PLT movements again.
Throughout Defence here or some key learning points i have acquired and believe I do well.
As part of my role being 2IC for the special projects crew it was expected to maintain and improve multiple different fixed plant asset areas of the Underground mine, These include:
As a cattleman the main and most important part is too keep the cattle healthy and increase the numbers throughout each block. I was a part of Breeding block, Therefore doing what we could as a team could to keep the cows and bulls healthy every year.
To be a Young cattleman / Ringer i believe it requires being self motivated, ability to obtain personal responsibility.
To also be comfortable working alone for days on end. Including being in an environment that can be fast paced which usually requires collaborative team work during each task.
Being able to have the proven ability to learn quickly and adapt to new situations is something I maintain and believe is an asset in any workforce.
Working for Sydney Restoration Company was about restoring life back to heritage listed buildings and structures. These jobs usually were prolonged and are not a fast paced in and out scene.
The finished product was more important then then the money, Restoring the building or structure, church etc to its previous standard and life within the build was the priority.
Throughout working for SRC ( Sydney Restoration Company) I believer I have learned everything below to a high standard.
