- I started out driving a truck and a 3-axle dog, working locally, carting out of quarries, as well as doing some on-site work.
- Eventually, it was upgraded to a quad dog setup and sent further afield, working out of quarries and carting fertilizer out of Newcastle, as well as lime from either Riverton or Attunga to farms around Armidale, Guyra, and Glen Innes.
- occasionally would float plant equipment around on their quad dog float trailer
- Also performed general maintenance and servicing on trucks and plant equipment in the yard
