I have studied the piano for the last 12 years with a strong focus on classical repertoire but I also posses an interest in Jazz. In 2025 I will be completing my third year of study in classical piano at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music. In my musical education I have been fortunate enough to access and learn from some of the best musical educators and performers that Australia has to offer.
These people include:
- Dr Anne Lierse (music educator for over 50+ years and past head of music at Melbourne high school)
- Dr Helen Kasztelen (pupil of Ronald Farren-Price and senior AMEB examiner)
- Kristian Chong (my current teacher at the Melbourne Con and one of Australia's leading concert pianists and chamber musicians)
- Dean Sky-Lucas (One of Australia's leading repetitor's and organists)
Some of my personal achievements include
- A minimum of honours on all AMEB examinations, having completed my certificate of performance back in 2020 under Dr Ann Lierse (once I have graduated this year I will then be completing my LMusA under the supervision of Kristian Chong)
- Receiving a first class honours (high destiction) in my previous end of year recital at the Melbourne Con
- Recipient of the Ross and Jenny Blanchard scholarship ($2500) of which I used the money to learn off Steve Sedergreen (one of Australia's leading Jazz Pianists)
- successfully auditioned and was accepted into the Accelerando program at the Melbourne recital center
I have also been teaching in local schools for the last two years with Whittlesea Music.
