My name is Zeina. A little bit about me is that, I commenced my nursing career in 2021 working in a Oncology/Medical ward as an Enrolled Nurse, I then made the transition to become a Registered Nurse, while working as an Enrolled Nurse, I completed my Bachelor Degree in Nursing and commenced as a Graduate Registered Nurse in May 2024 in Monash Medical Centre Clayton on Ward 54 and currently my second rotation is in Monash Health Casey in the Emergency Department.

  • While working on a Medical Oncology ward, I am competent in ensuring safe administration of oral antineoplastic drugs. Central Venous Access Device(CVAD), such as Portacath (PORT)and Peripherally Inserted Central Catheter(PICC) flushing and blood sampling. My position includes the responsible delivery of safe, research-based standards of nursing care to all patients. Interpersonal and problem solving skills. Working within a multidisciplinary team, with written, verbal and electronic communication skills.

  • As a Graduate Registered Nurse on Ward 54(Neurosciences), some nursing skills that I was able to achieve included successfully performing a venepuncture, setting up and the administration of nasogatric tube feeds, improving my skill in inserting a female indwelling urinary catheter, nasogastric tube insertion and management, as well as administration and management of PEG feeds. My role on ward 54, was to safely practice within my scope of practice. Provide person centred and best practice standards to all patients. Provide high quality evidence based nursing care for all patients.
