Work History

Babysitter

Family and Friends
01.2024 - Current

I have regularly looked after my younger sibling and continue to do so, as well as caring for my younger cousins on various occasions. I keep them engaged by playing a variety of games, both indoors and outdoors, helping with homework, and creating fun activities to keep them entertained. Through this, I’ve developed patience, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage and care for children in a supportive and positive way.

Dancer

MAD Performing Arts
06.2018 - Current

I have been dedicated to dance since 2018 and continue to attend classes regularly on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. This commitment has helped me develop strong time management and organizational skills, as I’ve learned to balance dance, schoolwork, and other responsibilities effectively. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to assist with younger dance groups, helping children learn choreography, stay engaged in class, and build confidence. This experience has improved my leadership, patience, and communication skills, as well as my ability to work independently and as part of a team. Dance has taught me discipline, resilience, and the importance of consistent effort ,qualities that I carry with me into every task I take on.

My dance school only operates during school terms - this opens more time for me over school holidays.

Musicals

School
11.2024 - 05.2025

I have participated in two school musicals, Matilda Jr and Cinderella, where I gained valuable experience in performing, teamwork, and time management. Being part of these productions helped me build confidence, improve my communication skills, and learn the importance of dedication and collaboration. These experiences have strengthened my ability to work under pressure and contribute effectively to a team.

Volunteer at daycare

Minnows Early Learning Centre
05.2024 - 06.2024

- Volunteered at a day care centre, supporting children aged 3–6 years.
- Assisted children during meal and snack times, encouraging healthy eating habits.
- Engaged children in play-based learning and supervised recreational activities.
- Read books aloud to small groups to foster early literacy and language development.
- Helped with maintaining a safe, clean, and positive environment.
- Supported emotional and social development through one-on-one and group interactions.
- Collaborated with staff to ensure children’s needs were met throughout the day.
- Gained experience in child care, communication, and patience in a nurturing setting.
This volunteering experience helped me to strength my ability to multitask, remain calm under pressure and communicate effectively with both children , parents and teachers.

Dog Walker

Local
02.2024 - 02.2024

While a neighbour in our estate was away on a month-long trip, I took responsibility for looking after and walking their two dogs. I ensured they were fed, exercised, and cared for daily, taking them on regular walks and giving them attention and companionship. This experience helped me develop a strong sense of responsibility and time management, as well as build a bond with the animals.
