Ideal Candidate

I have demonstrated my passion for client service in my team leader position. I ensure that I greet all clients who enter the store and proactively approach them to offer assistance, if required. Client service encompasses several facets in a retail store, I focus on the most important aspects according to client feedback which include ensuring short wait times at checkouts by allocating additional resources as required and the placement of merchandising stock where it is easy to access. In my team leader position, the tasks that I undertake are varied including directing staff resources, assessing stock, dealing with client queries, balancing of registers and shop tidy, all within the fast-paced environment of a retail store located in a major shopping centre. I use my highly developed skills and knowledge to multitask and focus on priorities which require immediate attention, to ensure the successful operation of the store. I have highly developed communication skills, gained from my employment and educational studies in Psychology and English. I used my communication skills to assist a client, with English as her second language, who was confused about her consumer rights in relation to a faulty product and became distressed. I used my skills to actively listen and engage with her, so I could clearly understand the issue and explain to her in clear and concise manner, her rights to obtain a refund for the product. Once she understood that she needed the receipt, she was able to produce it and thanked me for the empathy I had shown, which resulted in a positive client experience. I have highly developed computer skills and have been exposed to multiple software programs in my team leader role. I use my skills to record the delivery pickups from the retail store for DoorDash. The use of this system requires accuracy and attention to detail in the recording of the pick times to ensure that this information can be retrieved and provided to the client if an issue with the delivery is identified. The software systems are regularly updated, and I ensure that I keep informed of any changes, by documenting in a written format for future reference.
