I am a dedicated child protection professional with practical experience in statutory child protection with the Department of Children and Families (DCF), Northern Territory. My experience includes providing day to day support to case practitioners, independently working on further inquiries cases, interviewing children and parents, gathering and analyzing information, reviewing case histories, and drafting ISARs and case documentation to support informed decision-making. I am experienced in identifying child safety concerns, assessing risks and protective factors, preparing decision rationales, and progressing cases for Team Leader review and approval. I work collaboratively with Case Practitioners, internal teams and external service providers to obtain critical information and support timely responses to child protection concerns. I demonstrate strong analytical, communication and organisational skills and maintain a child-centred, trauma-informed and culturally responsive approach while managing competing priorities in a statutory environment.
