  • In my time with woolworths I had many different roles, my last being Deli Manger at Charlestown Square.
  • It was the most challenging role I had taken on, poor sales in both departments (Deli and Seafood), head strong team members, inexperienced team members, poor cleaning standards, poor product knowledge and presentation.
  • The sales were tracking at -2% on last year (LY) for deli and -8%LY for seafood.
  • After re-educating, re-training and with ongoing coaching of the old and new team, we became one team working and coaching each other towards the same goal.
  • Our departments went from losing money to increasing on average weekly sales by 12% LY in deli and 20% LY in seafood, winning the award for most improved for 2017.
