• I spend majority of my time with patients and learning about the patients from clinicians.

• Tutoring of first year veterinary students during the course anatomy dissection lab practical's. These are 3-4 hr anatomy dissection practicals

• Working with a 9 person to arrange UQ Gatton's Vet school extracurricular events relating to small animal surgery and medicine
• Organizing an excess of more than 19 different events spanning the whole year, Annually
• The focus on practical engaging workshops, bringing in the latest clinical information, connecting students to the practicing community and strengthening our communities passion for being small animal vets
• 290 members out of approximately 550 total UQ vet students
• More than happy to share more about SAMS.

Weekly 2 hrs Journal Club, where student members rotate turns to present and critically evaluate a recent journal article to students members, with the supervision and support of American and Australian boarded specialists.

VEG externship program. Two weeks. I have a copy of their internal evaluation of my performance, which I am more than happy to provide.

A short spontaneous externship experience, organised while in New York City. Short but sweet, few 17hr shifts spanning ECC, Surgery, Internal Med and Anesthesia.

• AES is in the same building as Veterinary Specialist Services, so when I finish my evening nursing shifts at VSS hop on over to do shadowing help out (emergency stuff) etc
• This is usually very spontaneous.

When my veterinary university and the clinics procedural schedule lines up, I assist with surgical procedures.

Spontaneously organised placement while in New York City.

• Basically a two week externship, learnt a lot good fun.

• A week of self arranged placement, during vet school
• I still attend the clinics further educations seminars.

• Australian Veterinary Association Annual Conference 2022.

• VetPrac is Dr Margie McEwan's company which runs brilliant practical 2 day in person further education events taught by industry experts
• Topics range is very wide and ever expanding, the topics can be seen on their website
• List of the workshops I have/will be volunteering at: Nerve and local blocks, Ultrasound, Fracture repair.

• Once a month "Pets in the park", a group of vets and vet nurses volunteer their time to help less fortunate communities to receive veterinary care for free
• Eg parasite control, vaccinations and other procedures.

Being a friendly face, talking to the general public about the level of care and expertise the Cat Specialist Services offers. What made this experience stand out was how different the crowd was to a usual veterinary conference, most productive interactions began with - "Did you know that vets can specialise?".

2022, 2023 and 2024, I have been involved with the "Vets for Life " program, which welcomes the newly accepted first year vet students to the UQ veterinary community.

• School had a strong culture of successfully competing chess on a national level
• I was paid to weekly manage, learning resource creating and teaching of multiple 15-30 student classes.
