During the 2024 soccer season I worked weekend shifts at Nelson Bay Football Club, taking on the role of Canteen Manager for matchday. During the season, running from March to October I was available to open up and shut down, building trust with the Club and Committee. I am a reliable, dependable, and hard working individual given responsibility for all dealings and actions in the Canteen on matchday.
I welcomed volunteers and helped them find what they should be doing, as well as taking Canteen orders from the public. I made the sure work environment was safe, clean, secure, and above all, approachable. Within the work experience I obtained, I learned how to manage myself and cope with a fast paced environment, with different people coming in and out through the course of the day. I believe I have grown because of it and would be confident to join a team in a customer facing role to help deliver a great experience for all.
