Furthermore, I have supported and assisted my mother as a foster carer for over a decade, developing my skills in empathy and resilience.   • My position allows me to be on the frontline with vulnerable young people and have the opportunity to provide predictable, consistent, structured care aiding in the development of the young person.

  • My position was made redundant due to organisational structure changes
  • During this period, I assisted in teaching the Certificate III in retail- this was setting up the classroom ready for the day, sourcing snacks due to low budget (oz harvest, sending donation letters) and assisting youth aged between 15-25 with assessments, I filed and completed both student and office admin both online and hardcopy (referral letters to other services, Centrelink, poster design for upcoming course)
  • Within this position I learned key skills in managing student’s mental health, to think fast and deescalate critical situations.

CHILD ENTERTAINER AND PARTY HOST

  • Company no longer operational I was there from opening to closing of the company, I hosted and prepared parties often in costume to children aged 4-12 years of age
  • As a host I would entertain the kids by doing glitter tattoos, party games and simple face painting designs, throughout the party I would address customer requests and concerns ensuring the customer and children were happy
  • At the end of each party I would pack away all the toys and dress ups as well as wash painting equipment
  • If I wasn’t at the Play Centre I was promoting, advertising and up selling products, party packages and business, I would directly report back to the manager/owner with feedback and requests, through market stalls and sometimes at Westfield East gardens during seasonal occasions as a kid’s activity area.
