ACADEMIC PROJECTS

  • Secure File Sharing System based on CP-ABE (Capstone Project) | Sept 2025 – Present Role: Backend Developer / Security Researcher
Situation: Developing a high-security document sharing platform to address data privacy concerns in cloud storage, utilising Ciphertext-Policy Attribute-Based Encryption (CP-ABE).
Action (Architecture): Designing a microservices architecture using Java/Python to decouple the encryption module from the file storage service, ensuring scalability.
Action (Security & Cloud): Implementing granular access control policies and preparing for deployment on AWS EC2 or Lightsail servers.
Current Progress: Successfully implemented the core encryption algorithm and currently developing the APIs for user authentication.

  • AI-Based Disease Detection System using Computer Vision | Oct-Nov 2025 Role: Machine Learning Engineer (Team Project)
Situation: Developed an automated object detection model to identify specific diseases in plant imagery, aiming to improve diagnostic accuracy.
Action: implemented the YOLO architecture using Python and PyTorch/OpenCV. Performed data augmentation and hyperparameter tuning to optimize model performance.
Result: Achieved a mean Average Precision (mAP) of 79% on the test dataset. Demonstrated strong skills in data processing and AI model deployment.

  • Linux Home Lab & Network Infrastructure Simulation | Jun 2025 - Present Role: System Administrator (Self-Initiated)
Situation: Built and maintained a virtualised Linux environment to simulate real-world server infrastructure and network management. Multiple EC2 instances were created to verify the effectiveness of the network configuration.
Action (Network & Security): Configured Linux networking including port forwarding, firewall rules (firewalld/ufw/nftables), and TCP/IP traffic management to ensure secure data flow.
Action (Monitoring/Observability): Deploy and configure Zabbix (Client/Server) on multiple VMs in various locations around the world to monitor system performance (CPU, memory, network I/O) and set alerts for service outages to ensure system reliability.
Skills Applied: RHEL/Debian, Bash Scripting, Network Troubleshooting (Ping, MTR, Netstat), SSH Tunneling.
