Summary

Seeking to develop a long-term career in a dynamic and progressive organization offering opportunities for professional growth. I am currently a Border Force Officer deployed at Villawood Detention centre. My experience in both a Law Enforcement Agency in conjunction with my previous experience in Aviation Traveller at Sydney International Airport, makes me an ideal candidate for the position advertised. My communicative skills and ability to work in small specialist teams amongst a diverse team have allowed me to assist and aid these units in intelligence gathering and language services. As an experienced Border Force Officer, I am at the forefront of Australia Border processes. As part of my daily duties I facilitate the movement of passengers both in and out of Australia, liaise extensively with both internal and external stakeholders in relation to the movement of passengers to quarantine hotels and hospitals and triage a vast amount of information to ensure that requests for exemptions are filtered appropriately for team leaders. My ability to stay calm and effectively organize my time has allowed me to mentor other assistant Border Force Officers in border processes and build staff capability. This has been particularly evident during the reposting of Officers from various areas back to Aviation Traveller. My work ethic and enthusiasm has allowed me opportunities to develop in both an individual and team setting. My personal highlight has been assisting Counter Terrorism Officers in intercepting persons of interests relative to their functions and being able to provide them with information/intelligence.
