Highly motivated registered nurse and disability support practitioner aspiring to continue to provide high quality nursing care and support to individuals across Australia. Experienced in mental health however am seeking to expend and diversify my skill set in general and high acuity nursing environments in rural and remote areas.
I have been recognised as a competent team member, effective communicator and collaborative within interdisciplinary teams to provide holistic person centred care. I have demonstrated a strong willingness to learn and have been open to feedback throughout my recent community and inpatient rotations as a registered mental health nurse. I have established strong professional relationships and have been commended on my positive attitude and nature in which I work. I have received verbal and written feedback from colleagues, my consumers and management about my performance in doing this. I completed my new graduate program in mental health drug and alcohol in 2023. I have 6 months full time experience in the PECC and MHICU unit at RNSH as well as 6 months community mental health practice. I was immersed in a positive, patient centred, holistic and collaborative culture. I have thoroughly enjoyed working harmoniously with other nurses, social workers, medical professionals and allied health clinicians. I have and will continue to endeavour to provide the best quality of nursing care I can provide and my passion for nursing is evident through my strong service delivery and relationship with colleagues and consumers. I am organized and am always working to ensure I have completed any outstanding tasks expected of me in a timely fashion. I view myself as a good team player due to my ability to actively listen, personally reflect and continue to find new ways to innovate my clinical skills. The clinical skills I developed prior to this program, throughout 2 years Masters course in Nursing, as well as through 4.5 years employment as a Disability support practitioner at Cerebral Palsy Alliance. have shaped my keen interest in nursing.
