I have a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Neuroscience from the Australian National University and the John Curtin School of Medical Research. I worked at the University of Queensland for over 14 years in management and senior advisory roles. One of these roles was Research Development Manager of the largest medical research group in the School of Medicine (Hew Level 7).

From December 2017 to June 30 2021, I worked for the Queensland State Government in Project and Correspondence Officer roles. In September 2018, I worked as Coordinator for the Queensland Wetlands Program in the Department of Environment and Science.

In May 2019, I undertook a Senior Program Officer's role the Office of Resource Recovery, in collaboration with the Wetland Team, to develop a Litter and Illegal Dumping Management Framework (LIDMF). As a Strategic Senior Program Officer I developed a strong knowledge of program analysis and strategic planning. I am highly skilled in budget management and financial projections.

My role was to manage the Queensland Wetland Program group and oversee the Queensland Wetlands Governance Group meetings which occurred every three months. The meetings included representatives from many Queensland State Government departments and I was responsible for preparing all paperwork, coordinating with attendees, assisting with drafting reports and presenting relevant information.

I was also responsible for managing team finance, maintaining current and compliant financial records as well as monitoring and addressing variances through detailed analyses. I also revised systems and procedures by evaluating operational practices and identifying improvement opportunities. This position was largely self-driven and my referee, Mr Mike Ronan (Manager, Qld Wetland Group), will attest to my success in this role.
