I am an accomplished senior executive with over 13 years’ experience in Courts and Tribunal administration. I have a proven track record of effective leadership that displays compassion and empathy. I am currently the Chief Executive Officer of ACT Courts and Tribunal and have held the positions of Registrar of the ACT Supreme Court and Registrar and Deputy Coroner of the ACT Magistrates Court for a combined period of seven years. I am adept at engaging across the justice system developing strategic programs, building capacity within court staff and the judiciary to improve outcomes in the justice sector. I have been an adviser to the National Judiciary and High Court of the Solomon Islands and Judicial Reform Adviser undertaking a capacity building project with the District Court of Papua New Guinea. I have established experience in Court and Tribunal management processes, judicial case management, working with stakeholders and registry staff to improve Court performance. I have strong public administration skills developing and leading service delivery programs including monitoring of governance frameworks and risk management. I have practiced as a senior government lawyer specialising in administrative law, civil litigation and child protection. Each of these roles has required a strong grounding in the law.
I am committed to improved provision of justice services to the ACT Community and have successfully transitioned my skills in working in developing and supporting the judiciary and justice systems in Papua New Guinea and Solomon Islands by working collaboratively with the judiciary, key stakeholders and staff to achieve timely access to dispute resolution, legally sound, transparent and fair decisions.
