Relevant Experience
Management, Whilst acting as an EL2 in CASG Cost Estimation & Analysis unit and then in Project Controls, I managed a small team of Cost Estimators, including Graduates and Trainee’s at the Department of Defence.
Project review and analysis, Providing in-depth analysis of multiple projects through CASG Cost Estimation & Analysis Unit and CASG Major Program Control and providing advice on this analysis to Major Program Control, Gate Reviews, early Independent Assurance Reviews and DEPSEC CASG through the IC pre-briefs. This included producing reports that distilled the essence of the project and where the significant costs were. This analysis required the ability to interrogate the project plan alongside the cost estimate and produce a report that could support in effectively briefing executives without an in-depth knowledge of the project.
Understanding the impacts of funding short falls and underspends within projects scope and schedule against the Integrated Investment Program., Wrote and prepared Independent Assurance minutes for DEPSEC CASG that were provided to the Minister of Defence as part of the Government approval process.
