Children’s Inpatient Unit - Permanent RN Position

• Providing compassionate and vigilant care to a mixed cohort of medical and surgical patients
• Coordinating and efficiently attending to ad hoc presentations and scheduled procedures
• Facilitating, guiding and supporting new graduates, casual staff, students and new staff
• Experience in seizure, diabetes, hi-flow, blood product, oncology, PCA, palliative care and day surgery management
• Passionate in providing family-centred and culturally responsive care through education and support for newly diagnosed patients
• Capable of caring for patients of concern, 1:1 specials and handing over to retrievals

Casual Pool/Temporary Contracts

• Working across a variety of clinical areas including Women’s and Children’s, Emergency, Medical, Surgical, Mental health and COVID response
• Diligently report and communicate care outcomes to assist RN with the planning and evaluation of care delivery
• Ensure a safe working environment for staff and patients through assisting patients with ADLs to enhance comfort and wellbeing
• Complete duties including maintenance, restocking, maintaining a clean and safe clinical environment, and clerical and specific tasks as directed by RN or manager
• Demonstrate flexibility, integrity, professionalism, transparency, and accountability always

Customer Service

• Working within a team to assist customers with experience with checkouts, self-checkouts, door greeter, stocking, safety management, auditing, stocktake, cash management, service desk, first aid and COVID response.
• Timely complaint resolution through clear and precise communication with team members
• Ability to de-escalate customers by using a calm tone of voice, appropriate body positioning and communication based around reassurance and understanding
• Learning and understanding the products and policies to increase sales and timely service
• Training other team members on processes and systems management
• Assisting and communicating with police and managers surrounding theft
• Actively listening to build rapport and identify the needs of the customer
• Listening to and applying personal feedback whilst relaying customer recommendations to managers to improve service processes
