• Assisting in the Faculty Store and Labs Arranging couriers for sending & collection of samples etc

• Acting Supervisor - managing the administration area/staff for the Biochemistry department and ensuring proper management of 11 Research labs and 2nd and 3rd year student labs during my Manager’s long service leave
• Mentoring of casual staff during peak periods & ensuring proper purchasing procedures for administrative and academic areas are followed
• OHS compliance and preparing/updating OHS manuals and reports
• Maintaining the Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and Risk Assessment files
• Ensure that all new chemicals have a MSDS and Risk Assessment before being delivered to the end user
• Co-ordinating technical training programs as required Attend to issues arising from meetings relating to research lab staff and administrative staff
