As a Wellbeing Representative at Activate UTS, I have demonstrated exceptional skills in organizing wellness programs, fostering peer support, and collaborating with university staff to promote mental health awareness. My leadership as a Student Volunteer Leader and recipient of the 2024 ActivateUTS Award for Excellence in Volunteering reflects my commitment to service, training, and leadership development. I also bring a strong background in veterinary science, with hands-on experience in clinical assistance, disease management, and coordinating large-scale veterinary outreach programs. Currently pursuing dual degrees in Nursing and Commerce, I am equipped with diverse skills in healthcare support, public health, and professional training. As a member of the Election Tribunal. In this role, I am responsible for overseeing and ensuring the integrity of student elections, adjudicating disputes, and maintaining fairness throughout the election process. This position involves reviewing complaints, making impartial decisions, and upholding the democratic processes within the university's student body.
As a Wellbeing Representative, I actively promote student engagement and wellbeing across campus. My key responsibilities include organizing wellness programs, mental health workshops, and peer support sessions, while serving as a primary contact for students seeking guidance. I collaborate with university staff and volunteers to advocate for mental health awareness, promoting self-care and destigmatizing support services. Additionally, I liaise with UTS wellbeing services to connect students to available resources and assist in planning and executing university-wide mental health campaigns.
Additionally, I have been appointed as a Student Volunteer Leader due to my contributions to volunteering events and training, I take on additional responsibilities, including advanced training and leadership roles within the volunteer community at Activate UTS, shaping the student community experience through the Volunteer Leadership Pathway.
I am also a recipient of the 2024 ActivateUTS Award for Excellence in Volunteering as a Wellbeing Representative, which will be presented at the upcoming Activate UTS Awards Night event on the 22nd of October,2024 at the Aerial Function Centre. Lenny's Mates and Lenny's Tour Guide
As a Lenny’s Tour Guide, I lead international and new domestic students on tours to introduce them to the city of Sydney, also helping them familiarize themselves with key landmarks and campus facilities as part of campus tours. My role includes helping organize and guiding Discover Sydney day trips, off-campus adventures, and orientation walking tours. Through this role, I help create a welcoming environment, ensuring that new students have a positive introduction to their university life, while also promoting community engagement and social interaction.
As part of Lenny’s Mates, I contribute to fostering an inclusive community for both international and local students at UTS. In this capacity, I assist in organizing social events, team-building activities, and workshops designed to encourage connections between students, promote cultural exchange, and build a supportive peer network. This volunteer work emphasizes teamwork, communication, and leadership skills while contributing to a vibrant student experience at UTS.
Worked as a Veterinary Assistant at the Government Veterinary Hospital, Bidadi, Karnataka, in the Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Sciences, under the guidance of Chief Veterinary Officer Dr. Praveen K.N., supporting and serving in the large animal treatment practice category from 13th September 2021 to 28th September 2021 (Full-Time, 8 hours per day) – 16 days.
