I am currently employed at Murravale Retirement Home, as a PCA. In 2000 I started at Murravale, in 2001, I resigned to have a family and be a stay at home Mum and raise my children.
Re-employed at Murravale in 2018 and have been working there since.
Attend to the needs and wants of residents.
Assist residents with day to day living, personal hygiene, lifestyle and activities.
Deliver outstanding care and comfort to residents with several different diagnoses and disabilities.
Provide clear communication, optimal support and guidance when addressing the individual or collective preferences of residents.
Manage and maintain a clear, safe and clean environment for clients.
Encouraged clients to be independent and maintain dignity.
Supple end of life care at a high standard.
Administer medications, as prescribed.
Monitor vital observations regularly.
Collaborate with team members in a professional relationship.
Support clients with a dinning room experience.
Contribute to a positive atmosphere for clients and staff members.
Offer safe mobility support to clients.
Maintain the owners pool
Attend to any gardening maintenance etc.
Responsible for managing contractors, to be onsite when required.
Housekeeping multiple homesteads and catering for special events .
On my days off I love going on hikes, taking my dogs for a stroll, hitting the gym or catching up at a local cafe with friends.
I believe being fit and healthy is an important part of life and setting a good example for my children.
I love the fast paced health care environment and pride myself on creating a work life balance outside of the workplace.
