I am a fourth-year Speech Pathology student eager to apply my knowledge and gain hands-on clinical experience as a Therapy Assistant.   • Once a week, I volunteer at OPH, where I engage with and support aphasic patients to promote communication opportunities.

  • Provide supported conversations to encourage communication attempts, and promote social interaction.
  • Support the use of AAC and communication strategies, such as asking yes/no questions, offering written or visual prompts, and giving patients extra time to respond.
