- At this point, I have only just begun my studies; doing commerce with a major in finance and accounting. Although my university studies have just begun, my passion for finance and accounting has led me to begin my educational journey from around year 9. Any money I was given from birthdays, Christmas etc, I put into the stock market and began gaining real practical investing experience from the age of 15.Starting so early caused me to make many mistakes, falling into hype train traps, using unmanageable leverage and completely disregarding any form of risk minimisation or hedging. These experiences have lead to an improved understanding of financial markets and hopefully a practical backdrop to draw on when learning at USYD.
- My passion for finance is further accompanied by subscriptions to the AFR and the WSJ as well as Bloomberg and the purchasing of financial literature, e.g Valuation McKinsey & Company Inc.
