Responsibilities

  • assist in conducting failure analysis on field issues.
  • assist in tracking server fleet health to investigate trends, new unknown issues, and validate that Veritas is maintaining customer SLAs.
  • Managing work and priorities through a ticketing system and workflows (ServiceNow, SharePoint, and MS Teams).
  • Handling hardware delivery and pickup for client hardware with standard policy.
  • Documenting the process for other technicians to follow.
  • Audit of all hardware components, making sure there are no discrepancies.
  • Deployment of new racks: making sure they arrive without any physical damage.
  • ABSL/BSL is to be completed after new racks have been energized (need to pass 100%) before handing over to the client.
  • Updating laptops with a new patch.


Experience

  • Exceptional server hardware knowledge, with a deep understanding of all component and system type failures.
  • Solid experience with IPMI utilization in diagnostics.
  • Experience with Linux PXE services is a plus for software tools (e.g., diagnostics, tests, FW updates).
