Skills Profile

Efficient organisation skills. In my placement in Coláiste Baile Chláir I organised a day to The Lodge at Ashford Castle in which the learners were given a tour of the hotel, took part in live cooking demonstrations and got to see the daily running of the hotel with talks from HR and staff. This was beneficial to the learners as we were studying Hotel Catering and Tourism. Organised activities in my current school for Seachtain na Gaeilge and World Home Economics Day. This year in St. Johns I planned and organised the practical examinations and organised a day in which parents came in to make Christmas cakes alongside the students., Excellent team worker.   • GAA: I have a passion for GAA. I am currently playing for my club Shrule-Glencorrib LGFA in which the club was founded only two years ago.
  • Cooking and Baking: I have a passion for cooking and baking both at home and in school. I ensure that when cooking and baking in school that I make the content relevant to the learners lives making healthy nutritious meals that they can make at home.
  • The Irish Language: I have great interest in speaking and promoting the Irish language both inside and outside of the school. Throughout my teaching practices, I have organised different activities for Seachtain na Gaeilge such as table quizzes and céilí’s.
