I am passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of others and am excited about the opportunity to contribute to the important work of African Youth Support Council. Currently in my final year at Griffith University studying a Bachelor of Forensic Science/Bachelor of Criminology and Criminal Justice, I bring comprehensive knowledge in youth justice, crime prevention, and restorative justice practices, coupled with hands-on experience in youth engagement and community development. My goal is to empower at-risk youth, foster positive relationships, and support community initiatives that reduce youth incarceration rates.
· Mediate disputes and resolve conflicts within the community to promote harmony and cohesion.
· Provide guidance and support to community members, advocating for their needs and connecting them with relevant resources and services.
· Facilitate referrals to professional services and support agencies, ensuring community members receive appropriate assistance beyond the community's resources.
· Organize workshops and programs to empower community members, fostering leadership development and collective action for positive change.
