• I was a group leader of an ongoing research project held in Services Hospital Gyne
  Unit 1, Lahore.
  The purpose of WOMAN-2 Trial is to monitor the prophylactic effect of tranexamic acid in post partum haemorrhage
  and other severe outcomes in women with moderate and severe anaemia.
  Brief description of duties and responsibilities is as follows:
  •Attending training provided by team of research fellows from London.
  •Arranging Monthly zoom meetings with the London team.
  •Case discussions and presentations with Head of the Department, Assistant Professors,
  and consultants.
  •Case discussions on zoom meetings with other hospitals across the globe.
  •Checking haemoglobin levels of patients who were in active labour in the labour
  room via a device called hemocue.
  •Explaining the purpose of the research and taking consent from the patient.
  •Informing consultants about the anaemic patient.
  •Vitals monitoring of the patient throughout the labour.
  •Randomising the patient by giving either tranexamic acid or placebo after the delivery
  of placenta.
  •PV bleeding monitoring during after the delivery to assess for postpartum
  haemorrhage.
  •Monitoring vitals, the time of breastfeeding, Conduction 6-minute walk test of the
  patient and filling case report form.
  •Filling discharge forms.
  •Uploading all the data online and answering queries.

In Management of Cardiac Care Unit, Emergency and cardiac wards patients my
responsibilities were as follows:
•Accepting patients from Emergency, complete Assessments, Investigations, Admissions
under the COVID-19 protocols and prioritizing the patients according to Triage.
•Initial management plans after discussing with registrars and leasing with consultants.
•carrying out daily duties and orders from supervisors.
•Preparing patients for cardiac and cerebral catheterisation.
•Attending cardiac and cerebral angioplasties and angiographies under interventional consultants.

• Performing CPR as per protocols.
  •Communicating with Patients and Next of Kin regarding patients condition.
  •Educating patients how to deal with illness both physically and emotionally and
  arranging social counseling sessions for patients.
  •Interpretation of radiological and pathological reports.
  Notifying the critically ill patients and handing over the patients to next on duty
  doctors.
