• Currently I work between two clinics in Pakenham, at both locations I provide chair side assistance, maintain a clean and sterile environment and do reception.

Here are some skills I have learnt over the last 3 years which I am very confident in:

• Assisting each dentist during various procedures, including: Cleanings, fillings, extractions, root canal therapy, all on four procedures, implant surgeries, x-rays and any procedure which requires my assistance. I am confident in working with a range of different dentists and becoming accustomed to each dentists preferences in order for me to provide the best assistance possible.
• I am confident in my skills in assisting a dentist by performing four-handed dentistry and other chair-side duties, whilst the dentist in performing complex procedures.
• Assisting in digital radiography, whether that be choosing the correct radiograph holder, setting up an OPG or saving the image to our software.
• I am confident in preparing examination rooms for a wide range of procedures with materials and tools necessary.
• I have assisted in general anaesthesia implant surgeries at Fox Implant Centre, Ringwood.
• Organising treatment rooms, and restocking supplies to prep for next patient and maintain health and safety practices.
• Setting up the sterilisation room including; starting the vacuum test, BD test (for the autoclave), Coin Test (for the ultrasonic) and making sure the area is meeting infection control standards.
• Operating sterilisation equipment to maintain hygiene and compliance standards. This includes cleaning and sanitising dental tools and equipment.
• I have assisted in ordering supplies for each clinic every month, including meeting with dental rep to complete orders. Managing inventory of dental supplies and reducing waste.
• I currently manage the social media at both Pakenham Dental and Renew Dental Care. Making posts and connecting with patients.
• I can operate electronic billing systems (Hicaps, Medicare, Card) to process patient payments and manage insurance claims. Verifying coverage and eligibility for treatments (Medicare- Proda)
• Knowledge in other payment options including SuperCare claims, Humm claims and Afterpay.
• Handling sensitive situations professionally such as discussing treatment costs or past-due account balances with patients to ensure a satisfactory resolution, whilst addressing patient concerns efficiently.
• Promoting a positive work environment by fostering strong relationships with colleagues across all roles within the practice.
• Scheduling patients who are on the recall/ Cancellation/ incomplete treatment lists, booking and confirming patients, TLC care calls for patients who have had an extraction, RCT, Implant or difficult procedure the day prior

• I occasionally still do some weekend work for Nar Nar Goon Fresh Fruit, this work includes working all over Victoria to sell fruit stock.

• During my time working at Bubba Pizza, I am became very good at working within a team, assisting customers with purchases and upselling.
• Learned and memorised menu items and specials to provide accurate and up-to-date information to kitchen staff.
• Learnt how to take card payments over the phone and in store.
• Was an all rounder; Counter service, delivery driver, pizza maker, ordering, cutting pizzas, packing orders, restocking all areas.
• Trained new employees with patience.
