Research Experience

PhD SCOPE

My PhD research examines the feasibility of using Human Rights Due Diligence as a legally binding regulatory mechanism to hold multinational food corporations accountable for the production, marketing, and sale of ultra-processed foods.

It investigates how integrating human rights principles into food governance frameworks can mitigate public health risks, protect cultural food systems, and promote environmental sustainability.

JOURNAL ARTICLES

I currently have four research journal articles under review.

  • The first, submitted to the Sydney Law Review, analyses how the Australian Evidence Act addresses AI-generated content in legal proceedings.
  • The second, under review at Human Rights Quarterly, examines the intersection of the right to food and the impact of ultra-processed foods, closely aligning with my PhD research on human rights due diligence in the food industry.
  • The third, submitted to the Alternative Law Journal, explores the application of volenti non fit injuria in the context of ultra-processed foods.
  • The fourth, under review at the Melbourne Law Review, investigates the link between bullying and ultra-processed foods.
