Work Experience
Work Placement- Werribee Open Range Zoo.
I completed 5 days of placement at Werribee Open Range Zoo in 2024. During this time I got to work in departments such as Visitor Engagement, Safari, Life Science, Horticulture, and Education. In Visitor engagement I assisted in a Koala talks, Wallaby talks and got to feed the animals. In Safari, I had to check the safari trucks and had to help organise the required information for the safari rides. In Life Science, I helped manage the feed and care for multiple animals. I got to be apart of meetings and read through and learn about animal charts and logging data. In Horticulture I helped maintain and clean the vegetation area as well as collected branches for animals food and help maintain a clean the environment of the whole Zoo. In Education I participated in educating a group of school children in animal conservation and the importance of our role is.
