I am currently a full-time student studying at RMIT university, completing a bachelor’s degree in social work (honors). I'm very interested in diversifying my work portfolio and applying my creativity and focus to a human services-based role. While I was completing my placement at African Family Services, I found that I felt extremely fulfilled by the contributions I had made. The interactions I had with the service users, and the connections I fostered with them left me feeling like I had made a difference, this positive experience has only bolstered my interest in the human service field.
My time at Skechers has allowed me to become extremely proficient in providing exceptional customer service, conducting research about the company's products as well as learning to use the store's points of sale system. These responsibilities have taught me to proactively work towards KPIs while creating an interactive and personal customer experience, which I believe are invaluable skills I have adopted.
During the 2023 Holiday period I was given the opportunity to temporarily step into a managerial role at Skechers. The invaluable experience I gained throughout this secondment period allowed me to immensely develop upon my leadership, decision-making, and project management skills.
