  • Site Maintenance, Working side by side with trainee Riggers to help develop their rigging skills, Monitor site radio at all times assisting FMG with all lifts required, Breakdowns, Getting Job locations set up for Shutdowns (barricading, Equipment for task, C/W for crane required etc), Crusher Overhauls, Removal of Oversize hoods for site maintenance, Relocating Belts and Belt reels and Belt change outs, Relocating Crane C/W For jobs around site from Crane yard, Selecting The correct spreader bar, shackles, chains, Assisting Blast crew in the pit with removal of equipment prior to blast and reinstating after the blast, Assisting in shutdown work on site, Maintenance on all equipment we use, transport Trailer roll over recovery, Crane roll over recovery, Basically servicing the entire site with crane lifts

  • Rigging onsite numerous mine site shutdowns including:- Nelson Point, Yandi, Whaleback, Eastern Ridge, Finucan Island, Jimblebar, BHP Area C, Planning and execution of a range of large, difficult and delicate lifts using multiple spreader bars, chain blocks, cum-a-longs, and chain pullers, Set up of side swung and under swung fly and needle setups, Placement and installation of aproned crushers, screeners, conveyors, chutes, and pipework, Operation of EWP and working off scaffold, Spotting for Crane Operators and monitoring of exclusion areas, Daily liaison with site management and trades, assisting to resolve issues as necessary, Interpretation of lift studies as well as structural and mechanical drawings, Review and of JHA and Safe Work Method Statement documentation
