During my employment I developed many skills that I feel have helped to create a strong work ethic. I was able to further develop skills relating to communication, customer service and attention to detail.

Some of the responsibilities of my role included:

• Cleaned and sanitized bathrooms, kitchens and other similar areas according to established protocols.
• Ensuring trolleys were clean, functional and free from damage.
• Assisting customers with trolleys when required.
• Reporting damaged or faulty trolleys for repair or replacement.
• Deep cleaning procedures utilising cleaning chemicals and supplies.

Working as a kitchenhand at Homeslice Kitchen was my first introduction to the workforce. Over the course of my employment I was able to establish skills relating to communication, customer service and team work. This experience has enabled me to secure ongoing employment and continue to build on these skills.

• Ensured cleanliness and sanitation by thoroughly washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
• Cleaned and sanitized dishes and utensils, consistently keeping adequate supplies on hand for expected customer loads.
• Maintained a well-organized work area by consistently cleaning surfaces and organizing supplies.
• Maintained clean workspaces to maximize productivity and safety in line with the Brisbane City Council Eat Safe requirements.
