  • I am currently posted at Hunter correctional centre as a first-class Correctional Officer. have been at Hunter since it was opened. In this time I have completed multiple Senior correctional officers temporary appointments, as well as act up on regular basis when not on a TA.
  • As a senior correctional officer, I am responsible for security activities and overseeing the daily structured activities of all Correctional Officers and offenders within my designated area. At this level I possess the proven operational proficiency to lead and deliver results.
  • Experience as the officer in charge during serious incidents, such as deaths in custody, serious assaults and assault officer.
  • Delivered briefings to senior management on the response, as well as ongoing situation reports while successfully managing any number of incidents.
  • Contributed to restructure of centre routine following transition of cohort twice now. This involved assessing the risk to staff and modifying existing practices to minimise contact points at high-risk times of the day, ensuring that the structured day was designed to maximise safety and to remove barriers to achieving KPI’s for time out of cell, access to programs and frequency of serious incidents.
