Engineer and GPH onboard Riverwijs vessels, Providing Terminal towage services to Karratha Gas Plant and Pluto LNG Plant owned and operated by client Woodside.

My Responsibilities include:

• Engineer Onboard RAmpart and RAstar class Terminal Tugs.
• Maintenance of vessel and machinery up to OEM, Company, Statutory and class requirements.
• Safe operation and maintenance of Riverwijs tugs in a terminal towage environment.
• Highly skilled in emergency response training and prompt decision making.
• Maintenance of vessel and machinery up to OEM, Company, Statutory and class requirements.
• Problem solving and fault finding on vessel machinery and systems.
• Regular review of relevant work health and safety standards and procedures.
• Participate in operational improvement exercises including regular Emergency tow vessel drills.

Partner of 360 Towage and Salvage, and Engineer onboard BHP owned vessels the Iron Kestrel and Iron Brolga, Responsible for operation, Maintenance and upkeep of the engineering side of the vessel.

My responsibilities include:

• Chief Engineer onboard RAstar 3500 high performance ASD Escort terminal tugs, Iron Kestrel and Iron Brolga.
• Active interest in operations under the contractor model.
• Safe operation of the vessel within a high paced harbour towage environment.
• Maintaining Vessel Deck and Engine room Machinery up to OEM, Company, and classification society standards.
• Actively involved in the preparation and execution of internal and external auditing.
• Completion of Permits, SOP, and Risk assessments.
• Identifying and completing Hazards, Continuous improvements and defects raising and close out.
• Proficient in CAT SIS, SOS, and ET.

In 2018 I was offered a shore based position within Bhagwan Marine as a Superintendent Providing leadership and direction to all chief engineers relating to vessel maintenance and management.

My responsibilities include:

• Ensuring all vessels comply with the company policies and procedures as defined by the intergraded management and planned maintenance system (IMS).
• Develop, implement and maintain company asset and planned maintenance systems.
• Ensure all vessel certificates are valid and maintained as per statutory requirements.
• Coordination of all engineering activities resulting from vessel survey defects, inspection outcomes and audit deficiencies.
• Management and control of maintenance, refit and repair costs within budgetary constraints.
• Participation as a member of the shore-based emergency response team providing engineering advice on all emergency situations ( as required).
• Assist in conducting vessel audits and rectification actions as required.

In 2011, I was offered a position with Bhagwan Marine Port Services in Dampier; throughout my time at Bhagwan Marine I have been able to draw on the professionalism and skills of those around me to broaden my knowledge and experience in the marine sector.

My responsibilities include:

• Troubleshooting and diagnostics of Faults to address challenges effectively.
• Involved in the Maintenance of a fleet comprising 20+ vessels.
• Performing the full scope of Engineering duties in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Assisting with the scope of work including harbour towage, crew/pilot transfers, mooring installation and repair, dredging support, line boat operations, wharf and jetty construction and maintenance, anchor handling, crane & cargo operations, coastal towage and barge movements, subsea installations, over water bulk liquids transfer and inshore & offshore supply to ships/oil & gas facilities.
• Playing an active role in risk assessments and the development of operational procedures and job evaluations.
• Undertaking regular emergency drills in order to comply with industry standards and company procedures.
