Working across a range of mines and ports (FIFO) installing, servicing and fault finding cable reeling systems. Supporting upgrades and commissioning of these systems for clients. Key responsibilities and experience includes:

• Fault finding across LV circuits, motor drives and control systems.
• Installing cable reeling motors.
• Performing VSD (Siemens and Vacon) work, including commissioning and upgrades.
• Installing cable reelers and cable reeling equipment.
• Performing maintenance, servicing and inspections on reeling gearboxes.
• Scoping jobs and planning work in advance to ensure efficient, safe and streamlined time on site.
• Completing detailed inspection and site work reports for the client while also providing recommendations for repairs.
• Adhere to high safety and compliance standards.
• Work with site supervisors and engineers to minimise plant downtime and keep up with production.

End to end experience in installation, repairing, testing and maintaining all types of elevators ranging from commercial & residential to disability platform lifts. Extensive understanding of the following:

• Switchboards
• Electrical control circuits
• Installing and testing LV circuits
• Mechanical electrical (singles & 3 phase motors & door operating systems)
• Reading & interpreting electrical drawings
• Installation & tuning of hydraulic systems, pump units and valve blocks
• Fault finding / trouble shooting
• Testing & tuning elevators (hydraulic & traction)
• Preventative maintenance
• Attending breakdowns

Also responsible for commissioning & handover of elevators to clients as well as quoting & coordinating repairs and maintenance.

Worked on all aspects of the NBN network including:

• Cable hauling
• Splicing
• Node termination
• Communications fault finding
