Reporting directly to the Manager-Mining, my role as Lead Engineer for projects has been to oversee and manage mining projects and improvements to the operation to ensure safe and efficient production.
With a re-structure to the operational management, a need for a scheduler was required with a strong operational background. As such, the role has since taken on the short term schedule responsibilities in conjunction with re-structuring the short term schedule process to drive both physical and spatial compliance to the medium and long term schedule.
A fantastic opportunity to get exposure to expatriate work in the Limpopo region of South Africa. This was both a challenging and rewarding role forming part of the
integrated owners team (IOT), to help develop a sub level cave mining operation with the goal of up skilling the
nationals to be self sufficient and take over the operation.
A structured yet dynamic program to complement university education. Rotations have included working at head office in Brisbane, as well as working at various sites in Australia for a range of clients, to gain a greater understanding of underground minining operations.

Vacation work at Hatch consulting engineers completing work based in project management. Helping develop a new avenue for the business - mine closure. My time spent at Hatch was valuable by networking with major stakeholders in order to develop and bring together all involved.
