Summary

As an AEP graduate, my primary objective is to enhance the daily function and support of my clients to achieve all their health & wellness goals through evidence-based physical activity interventions. I have a particular interest in NDIS based clientele as I have 4+ years of experience as a disability support worker; as well as enhancing positive mental coping strategies with return to play rehabilitation with athletes.


I aim to use my Masters' degree & personal injury rehabilitation journey to educate all individuals that EXERCISE IS THE BEST MEDICINE

Role & responsibilities:

  • Ongoing treatment of conditions from an EP perspective
  • Conducting initial consults & reviews
  • Prescription, delivery and education regarding exercise interventions (home-based, gym-based)
  • Constant follow-up & adjustments of programs to ensure continuance of programs
  • Advocating for individuals in GP reviews, in hospital in-patient and out-patient settings, after-school kids’ sporting programs, individual education with newly diagnosed conditions
  • Additional research using past medical tests for individuals and applying found results to physical intervention program (PCOS in adult individual & paediatric conditions i.e. inflammatory disorder in 10yo girl)

  • Clinical reformer-based Exercise Rehabilitation for chronic musculoskeletal conditions & comorbidities (e.g Neck/Back spinal disc pathologies/facet joint irritation, FAI's, arthritis/bursitis/tendinopathies/osteoarthritis, SIJ dysfunction)


Roles & responsibilities:

  • Leading back-to-back 30min individual and group-based (2-on-1 and 3-on-1) sessions including prescription and delivery throughout a 8-hour day
  • Coaching clients through cues & motivational strategies to enhance self-efficacy
  • Involved in full body assessments and re-assessments (lead part of the assessments e.g. ROM of joints, strength testing of the shoulder and hip, special tests i.e. identifying Cx and Lx disc bulge or facet joint irritation)
  • Independent completion of SOAP notes throughout sessions
  • Prescribing home exercise programs throughout
  • Constant engagement in professional development
