  • Currently working as Clinical Assistant in Physiotherapy at Radcliffe Hospital. In this role I work across all inpatient, rehabilitation and outpatient settings.
  • Adapting my skills to each patient as I feel delivering person-centered care is key along with compassion, respect, and dignity.

  • Psychiatric and Learning Disability hospital, working across all wards throughout this time, improving on observational, organizational, communication skills and working within a tight team was highly important to keep patients and staff safe
  • Contributing and communication within the multidisciplinary team and building up rapport with patients who suffer from a variety of mental health conditions
  • Daily physical health monitoring, Naso-gastric feeding, phlebotomy, and witness to controlled drug administration, performing daily electrocardiogram, drug, and alcohol testing
  • Coordination of response teams ensuring staff are up to date with control and restraint training, staff are fit and well to respond to emergencies.

  • Observation of patients for safety on wards, using deescalation techniques or in some cases having to work within best interest of others and use physical restraint or seclusion as required.
  • Working with patients detained under the Mental Health Act, which can be challenging however, having skills and knowledge of the Act is paramount in this role.
  • Making entries in patients electronic records of their mental health, behaviour, physical well being, social interactions, food and diet intake and any signs of self-harm
  • Keeping myself all up to date with mandatory training policies and procedures
