Summary

Experienced educator with firsthand understanding of the devastating impact of road trauma. Passionate about the role of Road Safety quality education and Drug Education support for families and teachers, I'd be committed to fostering a culture of safety among young people. Will leverage more than 15 years of teaching expertise and advocacy skills to plan, implement, and evaluate comprehensive road safety and drug education programs across Western Australia schools. Experience in Middle Leadership with collaborating with school Heads of Department, Admin leaders, government agencies, and non-government organisations. I enjoy upskilling myself as an educator and life long learner and would have no trouble in completing Department training in this area and then provide practical support, professional learning opportunities, and develop innovative resources focused on road safety and drug education.

As a parent of two teenagers I have also faced challenges of drug and alcohol pressures, particularly vaping, understands importance of open communication, education, and strong partnership with schools. I value the Keys4Life pre-driver education program as a valuable tool in journey, which both teenagers participated in. The program not only prepared them for safer driving but also provided an excellent platform for discussions about responsibility and decision-making.
