I am a Medical Doctor with a passion for physical and mental wellbeing. I am currently the project manager of a hospital wide wellbeing project which seeks to provide doctor’s with a safe reflective space to deal with the emotional and mental challenges that the job can pose. This requires data collection from staff members and pitching the vision to hospital stakeholders for financial backing.
I have a passion for the health tech space and have recently completed a Startmate Women’s Fellowship and and in the current cohort of the BitLabs fellowship which has given me invaluable insight into the start up world. I have the ultimate career goal of merging this insight with my extensive clinical knowledge and transferable skillset.
In my clinical practice I have worked in specialties such as Spinal injuries and Renal Transplant where many patients have co existing mental health diagnoses often due to the burden of chronic disease. I have also managed acute presentations of mental illness such as psychosis and self harm when I worked in ED.
Aside from my clinical duties I also present evidence based discussions and patient cases at consultant departmental teaching sessions which highlights my research abilities and excellent communication skills.
My daily experience of analysing and assimilating scientific data, implementing strategic management plans for complex medical presentations and managing risk in a fast-paced environment has equipped me with the analytical skills, adaptability and resilience to overseeing business operations and strategy implementation.
I am an ambitious, driven women with a commitment for lifelong learning and skill acquisition and will use this to develop my marketing experience to thrive in this position.
