I am a Registered Nurse who is currently working in Community Nursing where I have been for many years. It is an area I thoroughly enjoy working in and no two days are the same.
I am passionate about providing individualized care to all patients I visit.
I have gained many skills and knowledge During my nursing career and I am now keen to explore other areas of nursing.
I thoroughly enjoy supporting and educating the nursing students that attend my workplace.
I have on a number of occasions been approached by the nursing students after their placement to be a referee for them which demonstrates that the students have had enjoyable experience their placement and I have been a small part of their experience.
In February 1998 I commenced a 12 month postgraduate program at the Wagga Wagga Base Hospital. At the completion of the program in February 1999 I gained experience in the following areas:-
Medical nursing
Surgical nursing
General Operating Theatre
Remote area nursing at Narrandera District Hospital
I was employed at Inverell District Hospital for a period of 12 months to complete my enrolled nursing certificate. The theory component of the course was completed at Gunnedah TAFE.
