Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake individual therapy designed by Allied Health professionals (AHP’s)

OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY STUDENT  [July 2023 – Sept 2023]

The Lyell McEwin Hospital (LMH) – Clinical Placement 


Based in Adult Acute Mental health. Ward 1G is a 30-bed inpatient unit for adults (18-65) experiencing acute mental health issues. 

  • Facilitating groups within the Therapeutic Engagement Program, such as arts and craft, games, cooking, relaxation, and sensory groups.
  • Completing various OT assessments to identify current function and inform recommendations for levels of support upon discharge.
  • Liaising with family or past support coordinators to gain collateral information.
  • Documentation within sunrise EPAS
  • Completing NDIS reports utilising psychosocial disability discharge template.


OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY STUDENT [May 2023 – July 2023]

The Queen Elizabeth Hospital (TQEH) – Participatory Community Practice project 


Based within the Palliative Care ward of TQEH. 

  • Contributions to weekly reflections and debriefs with supervisors to monitor project progress.
